Sex after Menopause?

The definition of menopause is the absence of menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months, indicating a natural drop in estrogen levels. Unfortunately, this drop can lead to hot flashes, mood swings, and of course, pain with sex due to a drop in natural lubrication and health of the vaginal mucosa. According to the North American Menopause Society, about 45% of menopausal women suffer from painful sex, and up to 70% have vaginal dryness.
